I am going have to my navy books to this side of the (home) office.

But that is a picture of German gunboat on either Lake Tanganyika or Lake Victoria.

Of course it is a River monitor. Steve, look at the gun mount. That is a light tank turret.

Yeah, either a light tank turret or one from an early medium tank. My immediate impression is that it's most likely Romanian or Russian.

Chuck Hill has it.
It is a French river monitor in Indo-China,early 1950s.
If you look closely you can see the French uniforms.

The turret mantlet looks vaugely British.

Now,steve has given me an idea for a future post.
