The reasons they give for the conversion are interesting. Range and endurance were important factors - two things you just don't get with small patrol vessels. It is good to see a small navy demonstrating a level of common sense which is so often lacking in larger forces.
I wonder how the conversion cost compares to a Bertholf or Littoral Combat Ship?

What were the mods? Looked like they removed one derrick and added the helo deck and what appears to be a hanger. Anything else?
