The Medium Range Multirole Missile shall use the same "front ends" (warhead,sensor,fuze,navigation and communication systems) as the,one hundred mile range,Long Range Multirole Missile but with a different "back end" (airframe,flight control and propulsion systems).
The Medium Range Multirole Missile "front ends" and "back ends" shall be manufactured,stored and transported separately,being assembled prior to loading,to facilitate efficient manufacturing,upgrading and logistics with each element being less than eight feet long in it's transport case.
The Medium Range Multirole Missile shall be fitted with either multirole or target specific "front ends" as required.
The Medium Range Multirole Missile shall replace the Advanced Short Range Air to Air Missile (A.S.R.A.A.M.).
