Well spotted. The clip claimed to be of a British warship in the Falklands but clearly was not. The Aircraft were suspect too, they looked Russian to me.
It is definately a Meko 200 frigate, not a British ship. Probably an Australian Anzac as I don't think anyone else has the Harpoons in that position on their Mekos.
I would love to know how that was filmed and what for,a T.V. show perhaps?
The red Kangaroo on the stack certainly suggest it is an Australian. The ship looks like it is sinking, but Wiki indicates all these ships are still in service, even though it looks as if it is sinking.
ANAZC I found her to be uncluttered and well ordered. Very aware that I was onboard a ship from a (slightly) different school of thinking. Everything seemed top notch. I thought for a long time that these were the sort of ship the RN could have purchased to replace T21. From my limited experiences I find Australian sailors seem to be a bit more energised. Wouldn't say they were more professional just a bit more squared away. Rather like how their sports teams seem to be. And they way British submariners still are. It may be a small navy but it is focused I suppose that comes from having "real threats" to the north.
Bristol is certainly handsome and, unlike most of her contemporaries,a decent size. That hull, with four Speys,Sea Dart,Sea Wolf,A Mark 8 gun and a brace of Lynx would have made a very useful warship.

Perhaps just a photoshop exercise.
Actually for me the give away was the angled uptakes, then the RADAR, and then bridge profile.
I didn't spot the roo until the second viewing. The second viewing was because I couldn't understand at what I was looking.
I have actually been onboard an ANZAC.
Hello Chuck Hill,
the smoke looked computer generated to me,maybe the rest is?

Hello steve,
when I saw the twin uptakes I immediately thought "Bristol!".
Then I thought "Bristol was not hit and did not have a hangar!".
As soon as I saw the radars it was clear it was not a British warship.
What did you think of the Anzacs?

I am very well acquainted with dear old Bristol. Her best feature is her hull. Great lines. Dare I say a proper cruiser's hull?

I am making a bit of a pig's ear of posting.
